Preface
Each cloud connector retrieve events from one or more audit sources (aka end-point).
Each cloud connector's end-point log different type of events as the Salesforce LoginHistory end-point which log events related to access and the Salesforce setup-audit-trail end-point which log events related to admin operations etc. The cloud connector health status is determined by its end-points health status (See this post for more information on the cloud connector level health status). This post will explain how the end-point health status is determined, how you could view the root cause for error reported and resolve options if any.
It is important to note that cloud connector's errors reported from its end-points are in most cases unique for the cloud connector type (e.g. Salesforce connector, Office 365 connector etc) therefore diagnose and resolve end-points errors will be done in the cloud connector specific context.
See below links for each cloud connector end-point errors page and resolve options.
A cloud connector and any of its end-points could have the following 'Health Status' indicators:
- OK
- WARNING
- ERROR
How the end-point "Health Status" is determined
Each end-point has its unique logic of how to retrieve events from the cloud service audit source (e.g. API throttling, frequency, events model, recovery logic etc).
Each data sync task executed by the end-point to retrieve a chunk of events will report if it succeeded or failed to retrieve the defined events. In case the end-point failed to bring the entire events defined in the sync task the end-point will report a sync task error.
The end-point "Health Status" will be calculated as followed:
- OK (last consecutive 3 sync tasks areOK)
- WARNING (One of the last 3 sync tasks reported an error)
- ERROR (More then one of the last 3 sync tasks reported an error)
How to see the end-point "Health Status"
- Log into your SkyFormation app
- Go to the SkyFormation Settings -> Accounts page
- Focus on the cloud connector you would like to look into its end-points status
- Scroll up until you will see the Cloud Connector Endpoints Health Status Table
- Focus on the end-point you want to get details of its sync tasks
- On the right pane you will see the error reported for the last 3 sync tasks
How to diagnose and handle the end-point error reported
- Copy the error string presented at the end-point error details from the end-point.
