Preface
This post will help you verify that the SkyFormation app could call the cloud services APIs and the SkyFormation cloud services to operate.
SkyFormation initiates connection over SSL with the different cloud services on boarded to it according to the cloud service's API it uses. SkyFormation app also initiates SSL connection with the SkyFormation cloud services as its license manager.
In some cases the SkyFormation ability to communicate with the internet might be blocked by Firewalls or broken/wrong/missing proxy configuration.
Please follow the steps below to verify that SkyFormation app could initiate SSL connection with the internet for its correct operation.
Steps
Step 1: SSH to your SkyFormation app server
Step 2: Telnet to the following DNS addresses in port 443
1. license .skyformation.net
Step 3: Make sure you successfully telnet to these example DNS addresses.
If you failed to telnet to one of the above most likely your SkyFormation app connectivity to the
internet is blocked/broken.
If you succeeded telnet to these addresses your SkyFormation app could
connect to the internet to its needed addresses most likely.
