Preface
The goal of this guide is to add a new SkyFormation for Mimecast Email Security connector to your SkyFormation Platform.
Prerequisites
To add the Mimecast Email Security connector to your SkyFormation app, you will need to have the following Mimecast Email Security account's information at hand:
- Region
- Application ID
- Application Key
- Access Key
- Secret Key
For the above 2-5 values the Mimecast admin will need to add an API application by
following the following steps:
() Login to administration console
() Select Administration > Services > API Applications
() Press “Add API Application”

Steps to onboard the connector to SkyFormation app
1. Logon to your SkyFormation Platform:
2. Navigate via left navigation panel to "Settings" section
3. Navigate via New Settings left navigation panel to "Accounts" section
4. Click the "Add Account" bottom
5. At the "SELECT SERVICE TO ADD" choose "Mimecast Email Security". You will see the following screen:
6. Fill in the following information:
- Tenant
Select the tenant the connector will be attached to in the SkyFormation platform.
- Account Name
Give the Mimecast Email Security connector a meaningful name for you.
This will become your cloud app connector name displayed in the application and the
events sent to external systems as SIEM/Log management. This is a mandatory field.
e.g. "Corporate Email Security"
- Description
Add a text that describes the Mimecast Email Security service account for you.
This is an optional field.
- Region
Your Mimecast region (ask your Mimcecast admin for the correct value).
(Options: EU / DE / Offshore / AU / ZA / US / Sandbox)
- Application ID
The application ID obtained in the prerequisite section
- Application Key
The application Key obtained in the prerequisite section
- Access Key
The access key obtained in the prerequisite section
- Secret Key
The secret key obtained in the prerequisite section
At this point you can click on "TEST CONNECTION" to make sure the connection is set up successfully, or just click on "DONE".
Start the connector and make sure that the status becomes "OK" after a few seconds.
